The Acer USB-C hub is a great little travel companion. It plugs in with a single USB-C cable and gives you an HDMI port, two USB-C ports (one for power delivery), and two USB-A ports, including a 5Gbps USB 3.0. That's a lot of connectivity in a small package.**Function**For external display output, you'll want to use the HDMI port. The PD port is just for charging your laptop through the hub, not for video out. Once I figured that out, everything worked exactly as expected. I've been tossing this in my backpack for work so I can plug into external monitors with HDMI wherever I go. If you have a MacBook with only USB-C ports, this gives you easy access to USB-A peripherals and an external display without carrying multiple adapters. When charging through the hub, it does generate a little bit of warmth, but it's just passthrough heat and nothing concerning. Since it's a single USB hub, it will work with most PCs, making it fairly versatile.**Design**The unit feels well made in the hand. It stays cool to the touch during normal use. It's small enough to fit easily in a laptop bag or backpack pocket, and it's light. The overall build quality matches what I'd expect from Acer.I'm giving this 5 stars because it does exactly what the description says, the build is solid, and it's become my go-to hub for work travel. Just know that video goes through HDMI only. This hub is a great buy at $15, well worth the price.

Something I didnt know I needed but glad I have it

It takes time to fully understand how to use this Acer 5-in-1 USB-C hub, but once I did, it's been great.This versatile usbc splitter is fully compatible with Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS, MacBook, Acer, and moreIt's very versatile and adds extra ports, which is a big plus if you're working with limited space. The HDMI connection works well, and the overall performance is solid.It's also compact and lightweight, so it fits easily in a bag-perfect for travel or everyday use.

Sturdy cable, but the display quality was disappointing

The cable feels strong, durable, and well made. However, when I used it to connect my MacBook to a second monitor, the image quality was poor and the resolution did not look clear.This is the second cable I have tried with the same issue, so I am not sure whether the problem is with the cable, my monitor settings, or Mac compatibility. Unfortunately, it did not provide the display quality I expected.

It is okay ...

It works okay but I was hoping to be able to use it with a monitor and Bluetooth on my phone. Seemed to work fine with my TV after a couple tries. I am sure it will come in handy from time to time but not exactly what I was hoping for. The PD port is for power input only.
